Nathan is a CEO and co-founding partner of Finura and is responsible for managing the firm as well as his own Client base.
From the outset, Nathan has been driven to redefine the perception of what it is a Financial Planner does. As well as providing high performing, cost effective asset management, Nathan believes most valuable of all is empowering Clients to understand the choices available to them, the biases that may impact decision making and the ultimate impact of those decisions on achieving their life goals. Nathan takes great pleasure in showing a Client they can spend more or work less.
Away from work Nathan is mostly kept occupied and by his two young children and in balance from his love of regular yoga practice. Not at all fond of sitting still, you may also find Nathan cooking, playing tennis or golf or, best of all, skiing.
Toby Owen-Browne
Co-Founder | Chartered Financial Planner
Toby’s career in financial planning began in 2008. He is one of the founding partners of Finura and worked alongside a number of other Finura team members in his previous employment, who followed when he left to set up Finura with the other founding partners. He currently holds the Advanced Diploma for Financial Advisers and is a Chartered Financial Planner.
Toby’s dual experience as a business owner and financial planner are instrumental in helping Finura to plan, coordinate and execute the company’s strategy and business plan. He is a core part of developing and nurturing the corporate culture and takes responsibility for motivating and inspiring the entire Finura team.
As the lead in Finura’s business development strategy, he also seeks to constantly improve all business functions alongside developing his own personal Client base and that of the firm.
Away from the office, Toby likes to spend time with his family, learning about wine and is hugely into international rugby, golf and cricket. He is also keen to spend more time learning about psychology, time permitting!
James Herman
Co-Founder & MD | Chartered Financial Planner
James has worked in the financial planning profession for the past 12 years. He is a certified Financial Planner and one of the three founding directors of Finura, having met Toby and Nathan at a previous firm.
In addition to being responsible for dealing with Clients, James is also in charge of executing the strategic direction of Finura. He also heads up the acquisitions side of the business and is responsible for the financial management of the company, all helped by his degree in Accounting and Finance.
Out of work hobbies include music, now listening to rather than performing, golf, rugby and wine….
Louise Fish
Head of People
With over 30 years’ experience in financial services, Louise Fish brings a wealth of expertise gained across executive and director-level roles within asset management, sales, operations, and financial planning. Louise began her career as a Financial Planner with a large global bank in 1995, quickly discovering her passion for the vibrancy of City life.
As Head of People, Louise is dedicated to inspiring and supporting our most valuable asset, our team. She leads the development of our company culture, ensuring everyone feels valued and has a voice. Louise is also passionate about nurturing talent at every stage, supporting the growth and development of our people from apprentices through to experienced planners.
Outside of work, Louise enjoys interior design, early morning dog walks, good coffee, and spending quality time with her family in North London.
Rio Stedford
Head of Financial Planning
Rio has over a decade of experience in financial planning and wealth management, is a Chartered Financial Planner and former founder and managing director of her own financial planning business. Rio has led and developed commercial propositions and growth strategies for several advice firms, including the high net worth arm of a FTSE 250 wealth manager.
Rio’s focus at Finura is to lead the financial planning team, drive business growth with innovative commercial and distribution strategies, and diversify income streams. She prides herself on centering and prioritising the client experience, as well as using her lateral thinking ability for competitive advantage.
Outside of work, Rio enjoys relaxing with a good book and spending time with her husband and dog.
Dani Shaffery
Operations & Experience Manager
Dani has over 13 years of experience in the industry and has been with Finura since it was founded in 2014.
As Operations and Experience Manager, she leads the Client Account team, ensuring outstanding client outcomes. She also drives the integration of acquisition projects, leverages technology to enhance the client experience, and manages Finura’s management information to support strategic growth.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Emma Hunt
Quality & Compliance Manager
Emma has worked in the industry for 18 years, the last 5 of which have been at Finura . She is currently working towards being diploma qualified.
At Finura, Emma’s role makes her responsible for the day-to-day management of the Client Account Team, overseeing the workflow into the Client Account Team, resourcing and compliance. She is also responsible for internal training, both for onboarding new starters and the ongoing training of existing team members, creating and implementing standard processes used across the board to ensure consistent outcomes for Clients.
As well as the above, Emma is the firm’s Mental Health First Aider, providing guidance and support to all at Finura.
Outside of work she enjoys keeping fit, podcasts, films and music.
Isabelle Featherstone
Marketing and Communications Manager
Isabelle has worked in marketing in the wealth management industry since 2017. She joined us in March 2023 to lead Communciations & Marketing.
In her role at Finura, Isabelle is responsible for building the future marketing vision and strategy at Finura.
She also oversees Finura’s branding, marketing, internal and external communications. Working to ensure our Clients continue to be advocates and ensure we continue to provide an exceptional Client experience.
Isabelle is passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and chairs our DEI committee.
Away from work you will probably find Isabelle throwing around heavy weights in the gym, cooking or taking her dog for a walk!
Will Kavanagh
Paraplanning Manager
Will manages our Paraplanning Team, The paraplanners work behind the scenes to make your financial planning experience is smooth and personalised. The Finura paraplanning team prepare clear reports and use advanced tools to help make meetings with your adviser more efficient, allowing your adviser to focus on providing the best possible service. Will is also a key part of the Finura Diversity, Equity, Inclusion group, that meet on a monthly basis.
To disconnect from paraplanning Will enjoys reading, yoga and spending time with his friends around London.
Glen Bastick
Chartered Financial Planner
Glen is a Chartered Financial Planner who has worked in the financial planning profession for 13 years.
Prior to joining Finura, he worked for a professional multi-disciplinary practice combining financial planning with tax, audit, legal and corporate finance advice.
As a chartered financial planner, Glen helps his Clients construct the blueprint of a financial plan which forms the basis of their relationship. After several steps, the plan is then matched to recommended solutions. In addition, he sees the value of advice often manifesting itself as being a behavioural investment counsellor – a gap which exists due to human tendencies of letting emotion overpower rational thinking when making investment decisions.
Outside of work Glen enjoys generally keeping fit and active, cooking a delicious meal or continuing his quest of becoming a master home barista.
Roger Murphy
Chartered Financial Planner
Roger has been working in the financial planning profession since 2007. He is a Chartered Financial Planner & Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Prior to joining Finura, Roger worked for two national networks of advisers. He was also one of the original team members to join Finura when it launched in 2014.
In his role, Roger is responsible for looking after his Clients ongoing lifestyle and financial planning needs.
Out of work, Roger is a keen skier and has also recently decided to take on an Ironman – family and training permitting!
John Wollers
Chartered Financial Planner
John has been working in the financial planning profession for the past 8 years. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
At Finura, John sees his role as understanding the specific needs and concerns of Clients and, using that insight, he injects simplicity into his Clients’ financial planning strategies which are centred on achieving the right outcomes for them, their family and their business.
Away from work, John enjoys walks along the Thames, going to the gym and playing football.
Paul Westcott
Financial Planner
Paul has been working within the financial planning industry for 17 years, starting his career offshore in Abu Dhabi before coming back to the City working as a Partner at a previous financial firm before joining Finura when it was established.
Having read Investment & Portfolio Management at Kingston, this has embedded a love for analysis and research, helping deliver a quality service and a meaningful improvement to lives of Clients. He currently holds a diploma in financial Planning with the IFS and is one exam away from chartership status with the institute of banking and finance.
As a financial planner, Paul sees his primary aim as ensuring Clients make better financial decisions to meet their family, business, professional and personal lifestyle aspirations. He achieves this via personal face-to-face advice and by delivering regular communications that help Clients better engage and provide greater transparency of their financial portfolios. He views the most rewarding part of his job as seeing how his advice has such a positive impact on the lives of his Clients.
Away from the office, Paul enjoys good food and wine and is a keen traveller. He is a single handicap golfer, regular on the tennis court as well as a keen sailor. Previous to Kingston University, he studied Fine Art at Chelsea College, where he continues to enjoy the Arts in his spare time.
Sandy Reid
Chartered Financial Planner
Sandy has worked in the Financial Advice profession since 2012 and is a Chartered Financial Planner, having completed the Level 6 Diploma in Financial Advice with the London Institute of Banking & Finance. He trained in a City-based advice firm before joining Finura.
Sandy specialises in long-term tax planning for individuals, and enjoys empowering his Clients to take decisions that make meaningful improvements to their lives. His aim is to give all his Clients the peace of mind and freedom to enjoy the things that matter most to them.
Outside of work, Sandy most enjoys playing golf, following rugby, travelling, and live music.
Nicky Barclay
Chartered & Certified Financial Planner
Nicky is a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst who has been advising individuals, business owners and trustees on their financial planning needs for over 13 years. Prior to this, she worked as an investment banker at Citigroup, was a Founding Director at one of Asia’s leading regulatory and compliance search firms and began her career at the Bank of England and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Nicky focuses on providing context to her Clients’ unique financial positions and best in class advice to create a tax-efficient framework from which their family’s wealth and financial security can be effectively managed and maximised. Having been a regulator, corporate stockbroker and business owner, she brings a unique blend of commercial experience, integrity and pragmatism to Client relationships.
Outside of work, Nicky enjoys hiking and travelling with her family.
Paul Stewart
Financial Planner
Paul has been working in the financial planning profession for over 19 years.
Having worked everywhere from small companies to giant multinationals and across two different industries (PR & Marketing and Financial Planning), Paul brings broad commercial experience to Client predicaments. Priding himself on a strong dose of common sense, a preference for clarity over complication and a desire to produce great Client outcomes, he sees his role, for the most part, as helping Clients to achieve and live a certain lifestyle. Pensions, investments and insurance are just some the tools he uses to attain or maintain that goal.
He is passionate about financial modelling and specifically the way it helps Clients move beyond numbers by adding colour, context and substance to their financial journey.
Outside of work, Paul has a passion for horology and a decent, and ever-growing, watch collection.
Tom Buss
Chartered Financial Planner
Joining us in early 2022, Tom brings 15 years of planning experience to the Finura advisory team.
Tom advises Clients from every background, including high-earning professionals looking for advice around tax efficiency, business owners and directors. Through working closely with professional connections, such as Solicitors and Accountants, Tom also assists a number of SMEs with business protection and employee benefits solutions.
Tom lives with his partner and two young children. Outside of work he enjoys playing 7-a-side football, watching international sports, running, keeping fit and hiking (only in good weather!). He also loves socialising, cooking, eating and drinking and is a long-suffering Bristol Rovers season ticket holder.
Gush Verdding
Chartered Financial Planner
Gush has been working within the Financial Planning industry for over 5 years and is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
Gush brings a wealth of expertise in financial planning, by understanding his clients’ needs Gush creates personalised financial strategies that align with his client’s aspirations and behaviours. Gush’s proactive approach, combined with his ability to listen attentively, allows his clients to feel heard and understood.
Outside of work, Gush enjoys socialising with his friends and family in Coventry and London and attending the gym.
Lydia Richmond
Financial Planner
Lydia has been working in the financial planning/wealth management industry for several years and is currently working towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
As a financial planner, Lydia works with Clients to navigate their financial journey by building a meaningful, ongoing relationship. She combines her technical expertise with a deep understanding of each Client’s unique goals and values, empowering them to make informed decisions and adapt their plans throughout their lives.
Lydia is particularly passionate about financial education, financial planning for business owners and entrepreneurs and a special focus on helping women achieve financial freedom and security through tailored planning.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys socialising with friends and family on the Wirral and in London, walking her dog, and bouldering – despite her fear of heights!
Matt Boreham
Chartered Financial Planner
Matt has been working in the financial planning profession for the past 8 years. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Matt is passionate about helping his Clients achieve their financial goals by providing clear, tailored advice. His focus begins with understanding where Clients are today, where they want to get to and delivering a plan to get them there.
Matt is a keen advocate for lifestyle modelling, helping Clients to visualise their financial future and enabling them to make financial decisions with clarity and confidence, answering the most important questions such as:
• ‘When can I afford to retire?’
• ‘Can I sustain my current standard of living for the rest of my days?’
• ‘Will my family be OK, no matter what?’
Outside of work, Matt is a keen runner, golfer and avid gym goer.
Lily Conway
Personal Assistant to the Directors
Lily has worked in the financial planning / wealth management industry for several years as a Personal Assistant.
As Personal Assistant to the three Founding Directors at Finura, her duties are varied, which keeps her role interesting so no two days are the same. The main parts of Lily’s role are assisting with the Directors’ diary management, dealing with Client queries, building relationships with the team and ensuring a smooth journey outcome for each Client.
Outside of work, Lily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, staying active at the gym and trying to hit her challenge of reading 24 books in the year!
Gavin Murphy
Chartered & Certified Paraplanner
Gavin has been working in the financial planning industry since 2000 and is highly qualified as both a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society (FPFS) and the more globally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Less than 1,000 people in the U.K. hold both qualifications.
As a Paraplanner, Gavin’s role is to research and prepare financial plans for Clients, and to support financial planners with their recommendations. Gavin particularly enjoys collaborating closely with financial planners to create, implement, and review financial plans.
Gavin is particularly passionate about Lifestyle Modelling and the transformative impact that can have on the way Clients view their financial affairs and aspirations.
Outside of work, Gavin enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf, snooker, football and cricket.
Sam Allen
Chartered Paraplanner
Sam has been working in the financial planning & wealth management industry since 2018, having started as a junior paraplanner after graduating from his MSc Economics. Sam is a Chartered Paraplanner and is currently working towards Fellow status with the CII.
Sam’s role is to research and prepare financial plans for Clients, and to support financial planners with their recommendations. Sam directly supports Finura’s CEO Nathan with advisory work for his Client bank, and is working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner in his own right.
Sam is a firm believer in the benefits of Lifestyle Modelling-led financial planning, noting the transformative impact this can have to bring clarity to Clients’ financial affairs and contextualise planning around their life goals.
As a keen sportsman, Sam can often be found at the running track or squash court (if not away skiing or watching rugby) and, when not exercising, is likely to be in the kitchen pursuing his other passion, cooking.
Toni Powell
Paraplanner
Toni has 25 years experience in the Financial Services industry and joins Finura from Tenacity Wealth Limited, where she has been responsible for managing Client accounts as well as providing technical IFA support and paraplanning since 2016. Toni is currently working towards becoming diploma qualified.
Outside of work, Toni enjoys fitness and wellness, mini breaks, family road trips and musical theatre.
Frank Gibson
Paraplanner
Frank began his career in financial services in 2019 and has since achieved Diploma status, currently working toward Chartered qualification.
As a Paraplanner within a wealth management team, he plays a key role in researching and preparing detailed financial plans for clients, ensuring recommendations are well-informed and tailored to individual needs. Frank works closely with advisers to support the delivery of high-quality advice and exceptional client outcomes.
Away from the office, Frank enjoys staying active through sport and values time spent with family and friends, often catching up over a drink at the pub.
Abbie Young
Team Leader & Client Account Manager
With over 12 years of experience in the industry, 8 of those being at Finura, Abbie helps to manage the Client Account Team, where she focuses on delivering an exceptional service for our Clients.
Outside of work, her family keeps her busy! If she’s not walking the dog or spending time with her daughter, you’ll probably find Abbie rambling in the countryside or attempting to channel her inner MasterChef in the kitchen.

Jennifer has been in the industry for a number of years, providing administrative support, and is now one of Finura’s Client Account Managers.

Chloe Raynes

I have been in the Wealth Management industry for four years. Since being an administrator, I have a passion for all things processes and positive Client experiences.
I am now a Client Account Manager at Finura, here to help our Clients on their financial journey. Alongside this, I am working towards My Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning to further my knowledge and expertise in my role.
Outside of work, I enjoy being active in the gym, music and spending quality time with my family and friends.
Nader El Harake

Nader has been a dedicated professional in the wealth management industry for over four years. Starting his career as an administrator, he quickly demonstrated his keen eye for detail and his unwavering commitment to Client satisfaction. Today, he serves as a Client Account Manager, diligently attending to the integral needs of our Clients and ensuring they receive unparalleled service.
Since joining, Nader has been passionate about teamwork, the automation of processes, and delivering top-quality work. Having completed his MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Nader is always keen on adopting an innovative approach within day-to-day processes.
Outside of his professional life, Nader is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves exploring new culinary experiences. He is also an avid traveller, constantly seeking new adventures and cultures to immerse himself in.
Elaine Middleton
Client Account Manager
Elaine’s career began in 1993 working in both the public sector and industry as a management accountant. Following a break to raise her family, she worked in financial services for the past 6 years as an administrator with Tenacity Wealth Management Limited, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge of Client administration before joining Finura in December 2023 as a Client Account Manager.
Outside of work, Elaine enjoys Pilates, the cinema and time spent relaxing with her family.
Daisy Cruickshank
Client Account Manager
Daisy brings several years of experience in the financial planning industry and currently holds the Certificate in Regulated Financial Services Operations. She is actively working toward her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
In her role as Client Account Manager, Daisy collaborates closely with Clients, advisers, and the broader business to nurture lasting relationships. Her dedication to enhancing Client experiences and refining business processes reflects both her technical knowledge and proactive mindset. She consistently delivers high quality service with warmth, efficiency, and precision.
Daisy is also an active member of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, where she contributes to initiatives that promote inclusivity, representation, and a positive culture across the organisation.
Beyond the office, Daisy is an avid bass player with a love for hiking and exploring historical sites; pursuits that reflect her creativity, curiosity, and adventurous spirit.
Leah Andy
Client Account Manager
With more than six years in the finance industry, Leah has developed her career by consistently applying herself to each role. She began in an administrative position and later transitioned to her current position as Client Account Manager at Finura, where she is appreciated for her reliability and support for Clients and colleagues.
She values ongoing personal and professional growth and is currently preparing for her industry exams to further expand her knowledge. Recognised for her strong work ethic and attention to detail, she continually seeks opportunities to learn more about the financial sector and enhance the service provided to Clients.
Leah’s main objective is to provide a high standard of service each day, while continuing to develop her skills within the industry.
In her free time, Leah loves travelling to new places, discovering different cultures, tasting new foods, and relaxing on the beach.
Waj Ul Haq
Client Account Executive
Since joining Finura as a Client Account Executive, I’ve focused on ensuring that every client receives a seamless and personalised experience, working closely with advisers and internal teams to meet their individual needs.
I take pride in my attention to detail, proactive approach, and passion for improving processes to make things run more efficiently for both clients and colleagues.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing games and spending quality time with my friends and family. I value balance in life - staying focused and driven professionally while making time to relax and connect with the people and activities that matter most.
Rooney Boansi
Client Account Executive
Rooney has been working within the Financial Services industry for a brief period, having started as an apprentice, and has a strong commitment to contributing towards the growth of it. Rooney began his journey as a Client Account Executive and plans on using his passion for helping others and keen sense of detail to demonstrate his reliability and diligence. Today, he is striving to gain his DipPFS, having passed the R01 qualification to kickstart the progression.
As a Client Account Executive, Rooney works closely within the Client Account Management team to deliver exceptional service to Clients and help propel Finura into the future. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring administrative tasks are carried out thoroughly and with detail to ensure the necessary steps are constantly being taken to produce professional results.
Rooney is deeply passionate about becoming a highly technical individual within the Financial Services industry and strives to become a Chartered Financial Adviser and someone both his colleagues and Clients can consistently rely on.
Outside of work, Rooney enjoys playing sports, such as football and badminton, as well as socialising with his friends and family. He is also a fervid traveller and has hopes of one day visiting all countries in the world, seeking to build his experiences and become a person of high cosmopolitan status!
